1968
27th Singapore Company was formed on 27 December in Li Sun High School, the only Chinese speaking company in the Boys' Brigade.
The late Captain, Mr Pao Ung Hwa (1st captain) who was also the Sport Secretary of the school, together with Rev Noah Chen and another officer, Mr See Yen Pai, a teacher, started the 27th Singapore Company in Li Sun High School.
The response was terrific although only 30 elite Boys were selected.

1974
As the English Language was the main problem encountered by the Company, it did not participate in certain Brigade activities.
Three officers from the 8th Singapore Company were seconded to the 27th Singapore Company.
They were Mr Edward Chan Kwok Chuen (2nd Captain; 1980 - 2002), Mr Roland Chan Kwok Hong and Mr Bobby Loh.
Shortly, an NCO Training Course in Chinese was organized.
It was a residential Training Camp held at Birkhall Road Primary School located at Margaret Drive. A batch of 12 keen and capable NCOs were then chosen.
These young leaders later contributed greatly towards the achievements and progress of the Company.
In the 70s and 80s, the Company excelled in physical activities, Brigade competitions such as the BCFT Games, Battalion Festival of Games, Inter-Coy games. Most of the Championship trophies were in our bag.

The most triumphant event in our history was the winning of the National and Brigade Colours.
Our Company won the the Tan Teck Khim's Challenge Cup (National Drill Competition), accompanied by the Best Commander Award.
This Challenge Cup was retained by our Company for another year (1979), after another equally triumphant win with another Best Commander from our Company. In fact we had captured the trophy of the National Footdrill Competition 5 times and there was even a little publicity in the local English/Chinese papers.

This year marked another milestone in the history of the 27th Singapore Company.
We moved into the big and busy estate of Ang Mo Kio, forming our Company at Presbyterian High School with a total strength of 120.
Being the Centenary Year
(1883-1983) of the Boys’ Brigade, that year was an exceptionally great year for all in
The Boys’ Brigade with an abundance of interesting and unforgettable activities.
We also managed to establish a skeleton Bagpipe Band with the assistance from Singapore Girls’ Pipers.
In the same year, we received our Company’s Colour from our Honorary Captain, Mr Pao Ung Hwa.
This Colour was symbolic of the Company’s spirit and tradition.
1985
The Company's Bagpipe Band was formed. Even though it was formed only that year, it was able to give a public performance. However, the band was closed down due to the lack of qualified instructors.
1987
